My name is Taliya Pryor

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at National Louis University, expecting to complete my degree in December 2025.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Neuroscience track from the University of Central Florida, and I bring experience across counseling, behavioral health, and community support.

As a counseling intern, I provide therapeutic services under supervision, supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. I conduct intake assessments, assist with treatment planning, and collaborate with clients to develop practical coping strategies. I am passionate about creating a supportive, culturally aware, and empowering environment where clients feel seen and safe.

Before stepping into the counseling field, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, where I implemented individualized behavior plans, analyzed client progress, and provided crisis intervention and family support. I also served as a Doula Outreach & Credentialing Specialist, leading community engagement efforts and advocating for diverse families accessing doula services.

I hold certifications in Human Research (CITI), DCF training, Doula care, and as a Registered Behavioral Technician. My goal as a developing clinician is to meet clients where they are and support them in building the confidence and skills needed for healing and growth.
